peace,peace be still!

Have you ever been in a situation where it seems you are caught in a raging tempest in the middle of the sea? What did you do? Fold your arms and drown...

***********

You are now in the middle of the sea, rowing to the other side- the other end of the sea, where all your dreams lay accomplished.

You rowed safely until now.

The sky is suddenly over-shadowed with darkness, the tempest is raging, the billows are tossing high. You turn round and round in confusion. Your heart now fails you. Your seemingly accomplished dream now look but doom.

There is thundering. The howl of wind threatens to take your boat to the under-side. Your hopes are shattered, shattered into a million starry pieces. You shout for help, no help is nigh. The storm is calming, but you know better that with every calm came another storm greater and mightier than the former threatening to blow you off into the storm tossed sea.

You sigh, you cry, you scream. But it seems your angels aren't hearing you.

The heavens open up some more and there was more rain- the tear drops of heaven. The roll of thunder is heard even louder.

"Carest not thou that i perish?" you cry. Then a still voice followed. "You of little faith, why are you so afraid?"

(The chorus of James Clevens hymn 'peace be still' is reeled to you in words)

"The winds and the waves shall obey my will, peace be still"
Wether the wrath of the storm-tossed sea,
or demons or men or whatever it be,
no water can swallow the ship were lies
The master of ocean and earth and skies.
They all shall sweetly obey my will
peace be still! Peace be still!
They all shall sweetly obey my will
peace, peace be still!

And then there was calm. The storm is over and your boat sweetly rest. You head for the harbour- to the land of your dreams.

Whenever you are faced with the raging storm (challenges). Forget not He is with you always. Remember to say the masters command peace, peace be still
